UFC Loses Long-Standing Committee Member

April 24th, 2019

It is with considerable sadness that we announce that Phil Fogarty of Urunga Football Club (UFC) passed away last Wednesday after complications from surgery.

Phil made a considerable contribution to UFC, serving as a long-standing executive committee member and player. He played a critical role in the club’s amalgamation in 2007, helped create the club’s recent constitution and secured a variety of grants.

Phil was a legendary supporter for the club. His zest for life and dedication to soccer and UFC was exemplary.

A celebration of life will be held today at 2pm (Wednesday 24th April) at Nambucca Valley Golf club. There will be opportunities for people to share stories informally throughout the celebration.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.
