The Magic Of The Cup

March 4th, 2022

FOUR North Coast Football clubs are set to experience the magic of the Australia Cup for the first time in 2022 this weekend.

And all four clubs will be in action at the new Coffs Football Centre’s new synthetic fields.

The Boambee Bombers, Coffs Coast Tigers, Nambucca Strikers and Northern Storm are all set to play their first preliminary round matches of the 2022 version of the nation-wide knockout competition.

The four North Coast Football teams were meant to play their first preliminary round matches last weekend at the Coffs Football Centre, but they had to be postponed due to the region’s recent downpour.

Coffs Coast Tigers and Taree Wildcats kick off a big weekend of football when they face off in their Australia Cup match at 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon at the Coffs Football Centre.

Saturday’s second match sees the Nambucca Strikers play off against Iona FC at 4pm on the new synthetic fields at Coffs Coast Sport Leisure & Park.

Two Football Mid North Coast teams kick things off on Sunday in a battle of the Saints, with Port Macquarie Saints taking on the Kempsey Saints at 1.30pm.

The final match of the weekend sees two North Coast Football sides facing off to progress, as the Boambee Bombers and Northern Storm meet at 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
