THE old saying is if you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.
Shoosh for Kids will be emphasising this message, because if you can’t say anything nice at kid’s football matches, don’t say anything.
Shoosh for Kids is currently happening this month, and now is the time to sign up and keep the focus on fun so kids keep playing football.
Shoosh for Kids is a collaborative effort between the NSW Office of Sport and sector partners, including Northern NSW Football, to promote positive behaviour at kids’ sport.
Shoosh for Kids is about supporting local clubs to provide positive environments and encourage positive spectator behaviour, while also addressing issues arising from poor behaviour, such as abuse of officials, reduced volunteer numbers, and reduced participation rates due to factors such as poor experiences, non-enjoyment, or too competitive.
Northern NSW Football Community Football Manager Ross Hicks said Shoosh for Kids was a worthwhile campaign to support.
“Shoosh for Kids has a number of benefits for players, parents, coaches, volunteers and match officials,” he said.
“The message is simple; keep it positive, keep it fun and keep kids coming back to junior sport.
“Help us make kids’ football a safe, fun and inclusive experience on and off the pitch.”
Sign up today to help promote the Shoosh for Kids message and ensure kids keep coming back to football.
