Refereeing courses

Club Referee Incentive Scheme

We need referees for all forms of football – 11-a-side football and the new six-a-side competitions that are starting up. We’re looking for current players, mums and dads, family members, former players and people who have never played or been involved in the game before to join the ranks. Whether you’ve been involved in the game or a newcomer, we’ll introduce you to refereeing and get you off to a great start in what will hopefully be a long association with the game

There are two ways to become a referee. One way is to sign up directly through NCF, pay your fee, do the online course work now, and join us for an in-person course in May in Coffs or Grafton. See below.  The second way is to get sponsored by your local club with no upfront fee. If you’re already involved in a club, just tell them you’d like to be a referee and be sponsored by the club. They’ll then let NCF know, and we’ll do the rest. Contact details for your local club are here: Link. The process is outlined here: Link.

You’ll start earning money as soon as you set foot on the field. You’ll get a great uniform, rule books and other resources, ongoing training and support as you commence your journey at the centre of the game. Act now, our next course is in early May. If you have any inquiries, please contact our Match Officials Coordinator, David Horseman, at referees@northcoastfootball.com.au .
