NPL Kicks Off This Weekend

March 6th, 2020

National Premier League launches across Australia

The National Premier League competition launches across Australia this weekend, and North Coast Football’s development squads will travel to Newcastle to begin their campaign against Edgeworth Eagles FC on Saturday afternoon.

The National Premier League (NPL) is North Coast Football’s talented player pathway which sees the best players aged between 13-16 travel to Newcastle to take on the best players in the state.

This exposure to wide range of opposition has seen a rise in quality of NCF local talent since our inception to the competition in 2016, and NCF’s Technical Director Jack Dover says this is evident in the quality he has seen since starting in late 2019.

“North Coast Football has some very strong teams, and players with great individual talent. We look forward to challenging them even further this season.”

“The NPL is a fantastic opportunity for our regional talent to be exposed to the NNSW player pathway.” Dover said.

“The first trip on Saturday is against NPL side Edgeworth Eagles, and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

North Coast Football will post full time scores at the conclusion of each match on our Facebook page.
