North Coast Football win 4 from 4 at Lake Macquarie

June 8th, 2022

NORTH Coast Football sides have had a successful road trip to Lake Macquarie with a clean sweep of wins against Charlestown Azzurri FC, during the latest round of the NPL Boys Northern NSW season.
North Coast Football sides came away with all four wins against the home side.

The under 14s and 15s both had 3-1 victories, while the 13s had a 5-2 win and the 16s also prevailed 4-1.

The games against Azzurri were competitive but North Coast Football showed their resilience, as North Coast Football Player and Coach  Development Manager Alex Nolan explained.

“We were four from four against pretty challenging opposition in very competitive games, and we overcame our problems and challenges,” he said.

“Our 16s were down 1-0 early, and earlier in the year I wouldn’t have trusted them to come back but their game management has improved and got them home.

“The 13s was a tight affair at 1-1 at half time, and our 15s were down 2-1 at half-time.

“We’ve just been working on the little things at training and the sports psychology and mental side of the game, and the results are really starting to show.”

The past two rounds have seen North Coast Football teams win all of their matches, after three wins the weekend before against Cooks Hill United.

North Coast Football under 16s currently sit at the top of the ladder, while the under 14s are in second spot.

North Coast Football teams have this long weekend off with the bye.
