NORTH Coast Football’s under 14s and 16s representative teams have been triumphant during the latest round of the National Premier League Northern NSW season.
North Coast Football sides took on Lambton Jaffas FC during Round 5 at Lake Macquarie.
The under 14s had a dominant 8-2 victory, while the 16s won 3-0.
North Coast Football under 14s sit at the top of the ladder with three wins from their first four games, while the under 16s are in second spot with two wins and a draw from the opening four matches.
Both North Coast Football’s under 15s and 13s sides went down to Lambton Jaffas FC.
North Coast Football Player and Coach Technical Development Manager, Alex Nolan, praised the performances of the young sides against Lambton Jaffas.
“Our 16s and 14s both had good wins which were pretty convincing, and it’s the best our 14s have played this season,” he said.
“Our 15s are still missing some players, and their defensive efforts were good despite the 3-0 scoreline.
“And with the 13s I have been really happy with their development.”
North Coast Football sides are at home this weekend for Round 6 when they play host to Valentine FC on Sunday afternoon at the Coffs Football Centre.
Nolan said North Coast Football teams were looking forward to taking on another top team at home.
“Valentine will be pretty strong, and we always have good games against them so we’re looking forward to this weekend,” he said.
