Nambucca Challenge Cup 2017

March 10th, 2017

The 39th Annual Challenge Cup will run across three days in Nambucca next weekend, with more than 40 teams represented across two states in the regions biggest pre-season tournament.

Nambucca Strikers FC host the tournament every year held at Coronation Park in Nambucca, and are looking forward to another spectacular event.

Last years Open Men’s winners West Pymble return for their quest of back-to-back titles, which Nambucca FC president says is a major drawcard for the event.

“West Pymble bring a certain quality to all the divisions they play in, which is what you want for such a big event.”

“We’re looking forward to another big year. The Men’s & Womens play Saturday and Sunday, and O35’s Men’s play Friday and Saturday night.”

“And of course, Saturday night celebrations are held at the Nambucca Leagues & Sports club with live entertainment.”

The Cup kicks off Friday 17th March, and will run through till the afternoon of Sunday 19th. Nambucca Strikers FC encourage the football community to get out and support the event, with plenty of good football on show.
