Local Rep Player Trains with Newcastle Jets

December 9th, 2015

Local Rep player and Sawtell Junior, Chelsea Williams, has been loving the opportunity to train with the Girls Emerging Jets down in Newcastle recently. The young striker has spent a few days at the NNSW Home of Football at Speers Point near Lake Macquarie and has performed really well throughout the intense training sessions run by the Elite Coaches there. Recently Chelsea also was selected to take part in the Under 13’s State Futsal Titles held in October where she played in a very challenging competition.

Chelsea will be finishing off her training with NCF this week as our players complete their final week of a six week Program finishing this Friday 11th December.  The female squads of Rep teams have been very successful due to the work of Gemma Worsfold, Helen Moseley, Tom Whalan and Donna Helm in the last couple of years. For instance, this year’s Under 14’s Girls looks like being one of our strongest squads of recent times. Thanks to the SAP (Skills Acquisition Program) the 12’s and 14’s Girls future looks exceedingly bright.
