Kick-On for Women

April 19th, 2022

Kick-On for Women is a female-friendly football program designed specifically for women to fit into their busy lives whilst juggling their commitments of family, work and friends.

Kick-On for Women gets underway on Wednesday, 4 May from 6pm, and features weekly 45-minute sessions over 8 weeks at Toormina Oval.

Sawtell FC are running an eight-week program which is delivered by accredited facilitators and features 25 minutes of fun skill-based games and 20 minutes of a small-sided games.

With a commitment of just 45-minutes a week, the program has a strong focus on fun, inclusion and friendship, and provides participants the opportunity to spend time focusing on their own fitness and well-being in a judgement-free environment.

Kick-On for Women is for women who are aged 16 years and over, who may be non-active or less active and time poor, new to football or team sport, or seeking a social fitness environment.

It is a low-impact, football-based program providing physical and mental health benefits, social connectedness, alongside promotion of the benefits of engaging in team sport.

Participants discover and learn the basic competencies of football in a relaxed, non-competitive setting.

Kick-On for Women was born from the demand for mothers, sisters and female spectators wanting to be involved in the sport, who desired a format that welcomed their inexperience, less active lifestyle and limited time availability.

Any women interested in taking part in the Kick-On for Women program can register at https://www.playfootball.com.au
