Goal to get more females calling the shots

March 3rd, 2021

Have you a hankering to mentor and develop local young footballers coming through the ranks?

If so – be sure to get your name down for a free female Game Training Certificate being run at Toormina over two evenings on 9 and 10 March 2021.

The initiative is that of Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) and its sole aim is to encourage more females to become coaches – with an emphasis for those looking to run teams in the Under 13s to 16s age groups.

NNSWF Coach Development Officer Jarrad Denham said the course would run for five hours, in two blocks – and would be highly practical in nature.

“We’ll be showing participants how to coach players to apply functional game skills in a team setting – rather than players playing as individuals,” Jarrad said.

The course will be held at Toormina Oval and run from 6 pm to 8.30 pm both days.

Places are still available on this course with registrations closing on Sunday, 7 March 2021.
