With excitement building ahead of the upcoming FIFA Men’s World Cup (November 2022) and Women’s World Cup to be held on home soil in July 2023, Football Australia is looking to add to the network of 250+ Participation Officers (Casual Football Coaches) that deliver a variety of programs in schools and club land nationally.
Football Australia has so far delivered more than 700 school programs nationally in Terms 1 and 2 this year alone, with many more scheduled to come. One of the areas in northern NSW where program numbers have increased in 2022 is the North Coast Football Region. To be able to service this increased program demand, Football Australia is seeking to appoint at least one new Participation Officer from the Coffs Harbour/Grafton area.
The ideal candidate would:
· Have some degree of flexibility to work during school hours (9:00am – 3:00pm). Ideally suited to a TAFE or University student, or perhaps someone working part-time.
· Have a strong passion for growing the game of football, and some experience with coaching in sport.
· Football coaching experience is desirable, but upskilling can take place if need be. Coaches will deliver a range of coaching sessions with plans provided by Football Australia.
Essential:
· A Drivers License and access to own transport, to service bookings and transport equipment.
· A current Employee (Paid) Working With Children Clearance or willingness to obtain before commencing.
· Proof of Vaccination for COVID-19 (this is a current requirement to enter a school).
