FFA Launches Female Football Week as Liana Danaskos Comes to Coffs

Women’s football takes centre stage from the 8th March, with the FFA launching Female Football Week, an initiative designed to celebrate the extensive impact that women have at all levels of the game.

North Coast Football is proud to partner with Northern NSW Football in celebrating the vast number of women in our game, whilst encouraging more to get involved.

NCF’s sponsored Newcastle Jets player Liana Danaskos will be in Coffs Harbour on Thursday 9th March, running a girls only skills training session with local coach Helen Moseley.

This is a free event for girls aged 9-13 years, and will be held at McLean Street Oval from 4:30pm – 6pm. To register click here: http://bit.ly/2mgV7VP

NCF General Manager Reuben Robertson highlighted the amount of programs and activities that women can get involved in during the 11 day event.

“This event is scheduled to coincide with International Women’s Day (8th March) and helps us focus our attention on the fastest growing section of our sport. With over 1200 female players in our competitions from U6 through to Over 30s, NCF takes great pride in supporting the development and opportunities for female players in Football.”

“A scheduled workshop sees our sponsored Newcastle Jets W-League player Liana Danaskos coming to town on Thursday afternoon the 9th of March.

“This will be a fantastic opportunity for our female players to not only improve their football skills, but also to learn from an elite Player, gaining tips on what it takes to get to the top.

“There will also be a Female only, Grassroots certificate held to help promote coaching to our ladies during the following week.”

For more information on Female Football Week and how you can get involved, see NNSWF’s schedule of events.
