Local clubs are encouraged to register to host events in a week which celebrates female football.
Female Football Week is a national initiative which gives the football community the chance to celebrate the immense growth of the women’s game and acknowledge existing players, coaches, referees and administrators in football.
Club Activation Packs are on offer for the first 40 clubs to register for Female Football Week, with all clubs going into the running to win a $150 First Touch Football Supplies Voucher and a personalised message from a Commbank Matilda.
As part of Northern NSW Football Female Football Week, all member clubs are encouraged to facilitate an event or activity to help celebrate female football.
Potential activities and events which could be held include hosting skills sessions, a club BBQ, come and try training session, club interviews, female support person day, MiniRoos Gala Day, game day mascots, and open training sessions.
Other Northern NSW Football clubs have already registered to host events such as come and try sessions and club female interviews.
This year’s Female Football Week will be held from 6-15 May.
