Discover why there’s a difference between coaching women and men

June 16th, 2021

Female Football Week (FFW) is locked, loaded and about to kick off across the North Coast with a series of club and NNSWF State events.
Clubs from Nambucca to Woolgoolga will hold celebrations, with the first of the registered local events getting underway on Saturday at Coffs United.
FFW is a national initiative which gives the football community the chance to celebrate the immense growth of the women’s game and acknowledge existing players, coaches, referees and administrators in football.
One State event which can be accessed locally will be the Newcastle Permanent Coaching Masterclass on Monday evening.
‘Coaching Females’ will be led by Football Australia’s Girls Youth Development Manager, Debbie Fisher.
This seminar can be accessed online via zoom, though you will need to register.
Debbie will discuss approaches to coaching female footballers – and how it’s different in many ways to coaching a men’s team.
The workshop, which will run from 6-8pm, will also look at evidence-based research which analyses the needs of the individual and dispel myths of coaching females.
