Coffs City United FC – First North Coast Football Club Recognised in National Program

March 9th, 2020

Coffs City United Football Club (CCUFC) has achieved a 4- star rating in Football Federation Australia’s (FFA), National Club Development Program (NCDP).

Phillip Andrews Club Development Officer the Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) attended the club to present the award – the first of its kind for the North Coast region.

Andrews said it was no surprise the club earned the 4-star rating. Coffs City United FC willingly engaged with NNSWF initiatives and completed the NCDP efficiently and effectively.

“The Committee of Coffs City United have proven themselves with their outstanding on-field performance, excellent governance and by offering a fantastic football experience to all members and visitors to their venue.

“The clubs have invested and supported 20 club members to undertake coaching certificates in 2019, ensuring all coaches at the club have coaching accreditation” said Andrews.

Stacey Hansford, (CCUFC) Club Secretary said not only do our committee deserve accolades for their hard work and commitment behinds the scenes, we are grateful to our local sponsors who contribute to the club.

“A major upgrade to our club amenities will take place this year after securing a Community Infrastructure Grant worth $140,000 and a further $32,828 received via the Community Capital Infrastructure Grants Program.

“When completed, we will have two new change rooms, referee room and some team storage at the completion of the works,” concluded Hansford

The FFA National Club Development Program was launched nationally in September 2019 and is available to all NNSWF clubs. 19 Northern NSW Clubs have already completed the program with numerous other clubs currently completing actions.
