Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is proud to recognise that Coffs City United FC has gained Level 2 accreditation in the Football Federation Australia (FFA) National Club Accreditation Scheme (NCAS).
NNSWF Coach Education Coordinator Mat Fox recently met with Stacey and the team from Coffs City United FC to present them with their certificate for gaining level 2 accreditation in the NCAS.
Level 2 accreditation through the National Club Accreditation Scheme is a signal to sponsors, grant providers, club members and the community that Coffs City United FC has developed a written plan for the club including strategies for player growth, volunteer recruitment, facility development, coach education and child safety amongst others.
Level 2 Accreditation with the NCAS demonstrates to the community that Coffs City United FC has invested in developing and implementing policies and procedures to make the club safe as well as fun for children. The development plan will provide the structure for the future direction of the club providing goals for the committee to strive towards achieving.
NNSWF Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews said it was a deserving achievement for the club.
“Coffs City United FC is proving that ‘community’ is at the core of their football club,” he said.
“The club prides itself on developing a quality experience for all members and visitors to their club. The club willingly engages in opportunities offered by NNSWF while working with other clubs to develop opportunities for their players.
“On the day of this presentation Coffs City United FC and Woolgoolga United FC were engaged in competing for the Barsalaar Cup while taking the opportunity to celebrate Female Football Week. It was a great reflection of both clubs to incorporate their junior female players into the excitement of the afternoon.”
