Clarence football seniors round-up

July 15th, 2022

FOOTBALL in the Clarence Valley has been severely affected this season with a number of community fixtures in the North competitions either cancelled or postponed due to the inclement weather.

But there have still been enough games for the cream to rise to the top.

Westlawn Panthers sit undefeated at the top of the Men’s 2nd Division North competition with two straight wins.

Grafton United FC lead the way in the Men’s 3rd Division North, with four wins from their five matches.

The Yamba Breakers have won all five of their matches to sit at the top of the Women’s 2nd Division North competition.

There have also been standout teams in the Clarence junior competitions, with the Yamba Breakers the best junior club to start the season.

The Breakers have been unbeaten so far this season to lead the 15s competition.

Yamba are also top of the ladder in both the 13s and 12s competitions.

This season has been unlike any other in the Clarence, with both Barnier Park and Rushforth Park being out of action until recently, and junior matches played at Ulmarra.
