2019 Northern NSW Football Community Football competitions kick-off Friday 5th April

Beginning this Friday 5 April, Northern NSW Football Community Football competitions will officially kick-off right across the region.

North Coast Football (NCF) General Manager, Paul Ninness believes 2019 is going to one of the biggest years for football on the North Coast, especially for female footballers.

“2019 is going to be another great and exciting year of football across the region and I look forward to the official kick-off of the season this weekend” said Ninness.

“With the FIFA Women’s World Cup beginning in June, TAFE NSW Women’s State Cup in July, numerous ALDI MiniRoos for Girls programs and gala days, and female-specific referee courses and ‘C’ Licence Coaching Scholarship – there are more opportunities for female players to be involved in football than ever before.

“Whilst the various competitions get underway on the weekend, the opportunity is still open for players to register for the 2019 season,” said Ninness.

This comes after the recent signing of a three year partnership agreement between NCF and C.ex Group.

“The support from C.ex Group helps with our Men’s Premier League as they will continue on from last season as the Naming right sponsor of this competition.

“On the youth development side of things, they’ve also come on board with sponsoring our National Premier League teams, the 13s to 16s boys playing in Newcastle. They play every week, one week here, then the next in Newcastle, so it’s going to help our players and parents alleviate some of the financial pressures”, Ninness concluded.
